Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern using this website and engaging Aurum.

Last updated: 17 July 2026

These terms apply to your use of this website and, at a general level, to your engagement of Aurum ("Aurum", "we", "us" or "our") for wedding planning and design services.

By using this website, or by engaging Aurum's services, you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the website or engage our services.

Our services

Aurum provides Indian wedding and celebration planning and design services, which may include venue sourcing, vendor coordination, wedding design, guest logistics, cultural ceremony planning, and event-day execution, as described on our Services page.

This website describes our services generally. The specific scope, deliverables, fees, and timeline for your celebration will be set out in a separate written proposal or services agreement between you and Aurum, which governs your engagement in addition to these general terms. Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance or a binding quote.

Enquiries and the wedding assessment tool

Submitting our wedding assessment form, requesting a consultation, or otherwise enquiring with us helps us understand your celebration before we speak. It is not a booking, deposit, quote, guarantee of availability, or binding commitment by either party.

A booking or paid engagement only occurs once Aurum and the client have both accepted a separate written proposal or services agreement, and any required payment has been made in accordance with that agreement.

Fees, deposits and cancellations

Fees, inclusions, exclusions, payment timing, deposits, cancellation rights, postponement arrangements, and any refund terms are not fixed by this website.

Your proposal or services agreement will set out any required deposit, payment schedule, cancellation or postponement terms, refund position, and other commercial terms for your specific celebration. If there is any inconsistency between this website and a signed proposal or services agreement, the signed proposal or services agreement applies to the paid engagement.

Working with venues and vendors

Part of our role is coordinating independent third-party suppliers — venues, caterers, photographers, decorators, and others — on your behalf. Those suppliers are not our employees or agents, and we don't control or guarantee their performance. Where something goes wrong on a supplier's part despite our reasonable coordination and oversight, our liability is limited as set out below and in your services agreement, and you may also have rights directly against that supplier.

Website use and intellectual property

This website and its content — including text, design concepts, and imagery — belong to Aurum or our licensors, and are provided for your general information only. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use, but may not reproduce, copy, or repurpose our content commercially without our written permission.

Design concepts, mood boards, and planning documents we prepare for your celebration remain Aurum's intellectual property until your services agreement says otherwise.

We only use photographs or details from your celebration in our portfolio or marketing with your explicit, separate consent for that specific use — never as a condition of booking, and never without it.

Consumer guarantees

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law, that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

Where a guarantee, right, or remedy cannot lawfully be excluded, these terms apply subject to that guarantee, right, or remedy. Where our liability can be lawfully limited, it is limited as set out in your services agreement and in the section below.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aurum is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from your use of this website or our services, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Aurum for the services giving rise to that claim, except where the law prevents such a limit.

Events beyond our control

We're not responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by events reasonably beyond our control — including extreme weather, vendor insolvency, government restrictions, or similar circumstances — though we'll act reasonably to minimise the impact on your celebration.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Queensland courts.

If you access this website or enquire from outside Australia, you are responsible for complying with any local laws that apply to you. This governing-law clause does not limit any consumer protection or other mandatory legal right that applies to you and cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Your specific services agreement, once signed, is not affected by later website updates unless you agree otherwise.
